Horizontal Well Access
The Ziebel 15mm diameter Z-Rod® is designed to be injected from surface into a well's horizontal section, and may also simultaneously convey conventional logging sensors at its tip. Access restricted ID wells where other tools won't pass.
The carbon composite materials used in our conveyance systems are inert to the majority of the hazardous and corrosive substances common in the downhole environment. They resist H2S, CO2, acids and other stimulation chemicals.
Ziebel delivers flow profiles from low rate horizontals post frac
Obtaining flow profile information post frac in a lateral is a notoriously difficult well intervention challenge. Contributions from individual clusters can be extremely low and conventional logging tools can be at or below their threshold of resolution. PLT sensors also struggle to deal effectively with stratified flow without being too fragile and may have even less flow resolution if radially distributed. Ziebel is today providing reliable and consistent data in such wells using a combination of distributed temperature sensing (DTS) and distributed acoustic sensing (DAS) acquired on the Z-Rod to identify fluid or gas entry points and to quantify the flow.
