Ziebel to conduct distributed fiber optic sensing campaign in the US for ConocoPhillips
—Ziebel AS, a Stavanger-based provider of specialist well intervention services for the oil and gas industry, announced that it has reached an agreement with ConocoPhillips to provide distributed fiber optic (DFO) intervention services in the continental United States. Ziebel will offer its DFO intervention services beginning in the first quarter of 2015 from its base in Houston, Texas.
Successful OTC 2014 for Ziebel
Ziebel was at the Reliant Center in Houston May 5th through May 8th , exhibiting in the Norwegian Pavilion as part of the Innovation Park. We had a large cross section of visitors, from the head of the NPD through to students learning about the industry.

New field engineers
We are pleased to welcome two new field engineers who started 13th January. We feel confident that their skill will be beneficial to our operational team. Anton Timofeev has been working for SLB in Russia and he has more than 10 years of experience from the oil and gas industry. Roy Nicoll has 3 years of experience from SLB and he has been based in both Aberdeen and Austria.

The Ziebel organization is growing and we are pleased to welcome Jørgen Myre to our company. Jørgen joined us January 2nd after over 2 years of experience working for Schlumberger in Qatar. He will be part of our field engineer crew and certainly a contributor to our operations team.
Z-Line Product Line Champion
We are pleased to announce that Michel Eid has been promoted to our Z-Line Product Line Champion effective 1 Dec 2013. Michel was already a significant contributor in our organization, and is now responsible for all aspects relating to the Z-Line product, from field operations to marketing and sales strategy.
New receptionist / administrator
We are delighted to welcome Ellen Wathne as the new receptionist / administrator in Ziebel AS. Ellen has more than 25 years of experience from the hotel and service industry and we are confident she will be a valuable contributor to the Ziebel team.

Ziebel welcomes two new colleagues
We are very pleased to welcome two new colleagues to our team. Kim Flatråker, who recently graduated from the University of Stavanger, joined the Reservoir department as our new Jr. Reservoir Engineer on September 30th. Malcolm Chalmers joined on October 1st and will work together with our Operations group as the dedicated Maintenance Technician. We welcome both of them to our team!
Ziebel completes 5 wells consecutive distributed temperature and acoustic sensing campaign offshore Norway
In early September 2013 we completed a 5 well DTS/DAS intervention campaign with our fibre optic Z-System™ technology offshore on a production platform.
DTS/DAS Simultaneous acquisition on 4 wells
In another demonstration of the power and versatility of fibre optic sensing, Ziebel have successfully deployed downhole a unique configuration of fibre optic cable in four wells on a North Sea platform.
Another field engineer joining the team
We are delighted to welcome our first female field engineer to the team: Merve Dulger. With her MSc in Petroleum Technology and her experience from Aker Solutions, we are confident that Merve will make a significant contribution to our Operations team.
New field engineer
We continue to strengthen our Operations Group and are pleased to welcome William Mumby aboard as our new field engineer. William has previously been employed by Schlumberger in Aberdeen, but has now relocated to Norway to be a part of our team.
We are delighted to welcome our new field engineer Michel Eid to Ziebel AS. Michel has been working for Schlumberger in France the past couple of years, both as a field engineer and in the technology center. He will now be part of our field crew and we are confident that he will have a lot to offer both his fellow colleagues and the team in general.
It is a pleasure to welcome Ina Grasdal as our new Accountant in Ziebel AS. Ina is currently completing her BSc at the University of Stavanger and she`ll be working part-time throughout May. Effective June 2013, she will be working full-time as a member of our Finance Department.
